Each attendee must personally check in at the Congress registration desk to pick up a Congress kit and badge before attending any sessions or events.

Registration identification badges are required for admission to all sessions, refreshment breaks, Welcome Reception and to enter Exhibit Hall.

Student Registration
Max. 30 years old, photocopy of student ID and passport MUST accompany your registration. Please mail or fax with your registration to the IAC 2004 Secretariat. Student Registration will not be processed without first receiving these documents. Student registration fee does not include CD-ROM of proceedings.

On-Site Registration
Registrations received on or after Sept. 25, 2004 will be processed at the Congress and are subject to a $75.00 CAD administration fee.

Full Registration includes A CD-ROM of Congress proceedings, badge, Congress bag & documentation, admission to the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception, the International Exhibit, access to all Plenary and Technical sessions & coffee breaks. All other events including the Gala dinner are not included in the registration fee.

Accompanying Person Registration includes admission to the Opening Ceremony, the International Exhibit and the Welcome Reception. Only one accompanying person registration allowed per delegate.


Cancellations WILL NOT be accepted by telephone. Cancellations MUST be in writing (preferably by email) and sent to the IAC 2004 Secretariat.

  • Full refund less administration fee of $75.00 CAD will be made for cancellations received on or before August 13, 2004
  • No refund will be made for cancellations received after August 14, 2004
  • Forfeited registration fees cannot be applied to subsequent Congresses.

In the unlikely event that the 2004 International Astronautical Congress is cancelled, travel and accommodation costs will not be refunded.

Members of the press must first fill the Press Credentials Form and fax or mail it to the IAF as indicated on the form.

Upon notification of acceptance, download the Press Member Registration Form (social event, tours & accommodations) and fax or mail it to the IAC 2004 Secretariat as indicated on the form.
